About Us

The Bharat Jodo Abhiyaan has a five level structure:

1. National Guidance Council (NGC) of senior eminent activists who provide the vision, the goals and the broad direction.
    

2. National Steering Group translates the direction received from the National Guidance Council into a strategy and an operational plan. They be assisted by and oversee a full-time staff run National Support Actionariat.
    

3. National Support Actionariat will be responsible for the support functions of the Abhiyaan such as enrolling and servicing members, national communications, national campaign coordination, fund-raising, accounting and audit, and legal compliance functions.
    

4. Regional/State Level Steering Groups who translate the national strategy into locally relevant state-specific operational plans. They will be fully autonomous in terms of ability to mobilise resources, volunteers and decide on local campaigns and activities. They will be assisted by and oversee a full-time staff run State Support Actionariat.
    

5. State Support Actionariat will be responsible for the support functions of the Abhiyaan such as local campaign planning and coordination, local communications, etc.
    

6. In each target assembly constituency, there will be an Initial Prime Mover who in turn will identify at least three volunteers to act as members of Election Booth Level Teams. As each booth covers about 200 to 300 households, the Election Booth Level Team will ensure that all people are met with and invited to hold dialogues and undertake activities mentioned in the Pledge. These teams will mobilise individual volunteers, raise funds and conduct activities.
